"2000 Lexus IS 300: Rubbing Noise Problems on The Brake Pedals"

Black 2000 Lexus IS300 Front Right View

Please help me, whenever I slowly release my foot off the brakes on my 2000 Lexus IS 300, there is a rubbing noise, especially when I first start driving the car. It only makes this noise when I slowly release the brake pedal and it doesn’t make the noise during regular driving.
Answer: There may be dirt trapped between the pads and the drum and maybe the pads have worn out. In my previous Lexus IS once, I had a terrible grinding noise and there was debris between the pads and disc. I had to change the pads and clean the disc. Let the professional mechanic do this because maybe the break line will also need to be bled and air taken out.
