Where is the ECU on a 1998 Nissan Maxima located? I am trying to set up a key less remote and is prompting me to locate it.
Answer: The engine control module is ahead of the
console under those black panels on each side forward of the heater
outlets the connector is on the passengers side. Please Disconnect the
battery before preforming any wiring or plugging and unplugging the ECM.
and use only hand tools to tighten the center bolt on the ECM
connector.
