I have 60,0000 miles on my 2005 Buick LaCrosse car and from time to time I’ve notice when the transmission is up shifting that it goes harsh into gear. this doesn’t happen all the time. it has been on and off for almost a year. The trans fluid looks clean and at appropriate level, any ideas?
Answer: I am not a mechanic, but the same thing has happened on my LaCrosse. Try a quick sniff of the transmission fluid
to detect any smoky scent to the fluid, even if the color looks good.
It might be clutch plate, unfortunately they may have to drop the
transmission to find it. Don’t they have diagnostics on the
transmission?
