Just bought a used 2001 Nissan Xterra and I was wondering what the front part of the roof rack is supposed to be used for? Also can it be removed? It kind a makes it hard to wash the part underneath roof rack. Thanks for any information.
Answer: Wind deflector or drop in lockable basket that is also available. Get a fleecey wash mitt no one looks under that rack anyway.
