| 2005 Honda Accord EX V6 Coupe |
I own a 2005 Honda Accord EX V6 coupe, with navi. It has the DVD player
in the trunk with the 2005 Navigation DVD in it. My question is, is
there somewhere where I can purchase an updated version of the GPS DVD?
There have been many new roads added where I live since 2005 and it
would be nice if my GPS had them. Would the dealership be the best bet? I
tend to stay away from dealerships due to high prices. Also, if I can
use an upgraded disc, will it just have updated roads on it? Or could it
possibly have updated features such as real time traffic reports, roadblock warnings, etc?
Answer: The disc is not available through the
dealers; they can order it for you or you can order the update direct
from Honda and avoid the trip to the dealer and save the dealer mark-up.

The disc has the most recent maps for your area based on when the
disc was mapped. they usually update the maps once per year. If you
system didn’t have the real time traffic (like the Acura) then changing
the disc won’t give you that capability. that is a system issue, not a
disc issue. Hope that helps
