I need a new or rebuilt transmission for a 1998 VW Jetta GLS 2.0. How much is newly built or newly to be? Less shipping.
Answer: mjmautohaus.com has them brand new for 1124.95. It would cost more than that to get it rebuilt. My friend owns a transmission shop and he tells me that parts to rebuild a vw tranny get expensive. If you plan on keeping the car, I would definitely go with the new one.
