I have an 2005 Ford Expediton and I Want to put a GPS in the dash
board. I don’t want one the attach’s or sits on the dash board. If this
possible without causing serious damage to the dash (Like Chevi Cav’s –
It would split dash board). Unfortunately I have had it happen, I want type is the best to buy that actually can be inserted? Please let me know, thanks.
Answer: I realize that you want the in-dash GPS, and
that you’re willing to pay the ridiculous cost of installing one. But
listen to me when I say this – it’s a bad idea. Unless you actually go
to the Ford dealership, those
guys MIGHT be able to do it right, but if you ask the clowns at your
local Wal-Mart automotive to take care of this, they will completely F
it up, and your car will be hideously disfigured. I’m not talking like
your aunt’s nose job disfigured, I’m talking like burn victim
disfigured, wanna puke when I see it disfigured. Understand? If you want
a GPS that bad, you have two choices – get one that will mount ON the
dashboard, or get a new car with the factory GPS unit installed. After market in dash GPS are the worse.
