"Problems with TPMS System After Switching Rims/Tires on 2010 Honda Odyssey EX"

White 2010 Honda Odyssey EX

I have a 2010 Honda Odyssey EX. I bought an extra set of TPMS monitors and rims for snow tires. I have an ATEQ Quickset device. I programmed in the codes for both summer and winter TPMS monitors/rims. When I went to reset the computer to the winter tires, the low pressure light came on blinking and won’t stop no matter how far I drive. When I query the car computer as to what TPMS codes it has in it, it reads out all 0′s (i.e., no codes). Any idea why this isn’t working?

Answer: I don’t know if this is going to help but I’ll try. I have seen a problem like this here with tire shops replacing rims and they all say that they have some kind of equipment or scanner that does this with other cars without a problem. most of the time they don’t have any codes but the light don’t stop flashing. Then we use the HDS ( Honda diagnostic system) we reset and initialized the system and boom it all works fine. I don’t know if Honda put something in the system but on the 09 and 10 model other devises or scanners are not working right. Make sure your sensors are good, that the new rims have TPM’s stamped on the wheel. If all looks good and you think that is a communication issue u can try that. Hope this helps, Good luck!
