"Windows Problems on a 1999 Volkswagen Passat"

1999 Volkswagen Passat

Ok I have a 1999 VW Passat, i really havent had much trouble with this car, however this friday i rolled down the driverside window and it went down crooked, i tried to catch it but couldnt, then when i tried to put it up again i couldnt. Then the next day the passenger door window did the same exact thing. I opened the door pannel and found that the plastic clamps that hold the window broke im woundering if this might be a common problem and if maybe a recalled item? I hear that they dont sell just the plastic clamps that they sell the entire window slides and motor; which at the dealership is extremely expensive. Does anyone have any suggestions, i would really appreciate it.

Answer: Search the internet for 1999 VW Passat Window Regulator and you’ll find options. The Dorman Window Regulator for your car will cost from $140 to $180 each. Although this is pricey its alot better than at the dealer. Check out VWvortex for lots of information @ www.VWvortex.com
