My wife drive a 1985 300d with the newer hub cap style. I was
wondering if i could get her the 1981 style wheel. the wheels with the
matching paint job.
Answer: Yes you can the rims are the same size and
pattern and would fit easily. However before you buy them look at how
much the hub caps are and how much it will cost to have them painted.
They come just chrome and then you have to get them painted.
