What is causing my 2004 Subaru Impreza rear wiper to stop off the home position? Is there a relay problems? The wiper should be intermittent but now it wipes continuously until it is shut off.
When it stops, it will stop any where. I have inspected the motor and
the internal switches and they are fine. The dealer suggested that the
wiper switch on the steering
column is faulty, but I don’t buy it. There must be a relay somewhere
which creates the intermittent action. I believe that this is stuck
closed, but I can’t find any relay!
Answer: It should be under warranty, depending on the mileage. Rear wiper transmission is probably sticking or the nut is loose.
