In what capacity would I be able to stop my ford focus fan belt squealing? My diesel ford focus fan belt squeals for a few moments when I start it. The garage have replaced it twice-but its no preferable. Whats bringing about it and how much will it cost to put right?
Answer: First, scratch the belt dressing, most cars these days it will cause more problems than it will fix. Sounds like either the belt is loose or the tension pully is starting to set up. In either case replace the pully unit, it is cheap and yes the average guy/gal can do this themselves with some basic tools.
