My 1998 Tacoma truck cable snapped at the end of the emergency brake release rod. I can not find a way to remove the old brakes cable and attach the new one. The rest is pretty easy to make, I have no experience with this part of the brakes cable repair. Thanks in advance for any help.
Answer: Look under the dash on the brake lever. Head towards the firewall, to the low silver contact lever brake light switch address. (It is the brake pedal side. You have the pen is pressed to remove. With it removed, the lever slides through and you can turn off / pure gage cable. The pen has ridges on it, twisting so no ‘t or break ! (Gee, I wonder how I know) I usually pull off the lever.
