I’m looking into buying a Nissan 300zx but it needs a new v6 3 liter engine. I want to see if it is worth it to buy, so I was wondering how much a used or rebuilt engine would cost me and where would I need to look? By the way I’m in Southern Maryland.

Answer: A lot of people do not know this but Japans emissions standards are much tighter than ours. They cannot pass after about 40,000 miles nor pass after a rebuild. Many of these are shipped here and sold at a very reasonable price. Check around and you will find these importers and most likely your best price. I have used a lot of these engines and have not had any problems with them.
