1998 Nissan Maxima |
I have a 1992 Nissan 240sx and a 1998 Nissan Maxima with a sr20 engine swap in both. Where can I buy turbo chargers and performance upgrades for these engines?
Answer: Hanging a turbo on an engine not designed for one, is a great way to blow an engine, as well as blow a whole lot of cash. Factory turbo engines are designed and built to withstand the extreme pressures created by the additional compression. Most home brewed turbo projects are often a pile of expensive junk, in short order. It is however possible, given enough cash, to build and engine to withstand the use of a turbo, but then why not go the belt driven supercharger route. A chromed blower on your engine would give WOW as well as GO power, with less under hood heat.
