I am going to buy a TomTom One Version 3, and what I’m going to ask is the GPS reception OK when it is attached to a Ford Focus (with heated windscreen)?
Answer: The heated screen won’t cause you any problems. The only screens I have heard that can “shield” the signal is the metallic
UV protective layer in some glass (looks purple in certain lights,
Renault use it a lot) that blocks the GPS signal. But even some of the
Renault screens have a small “clear” patch in the lower center of the
screen to allow G.P.S. to work.
