"Old Mercedes Benz 190 E Maintenance"

Mercedes Benz 190 E

I love my Mercedes Benz 190 E model and would do anything to keep it in perfect condition. How or what do I do to keep in good shape all the time?
Answer: Get a oil change and new oil filter every 3,000 miles. Have it done at a reputable place, doesn’t have to be a Benz dealership but at least a shop that works on Mercedes cars. Always make sure it has the correct level of antifreeze in it. That is in the little jug behind the washer fluid jug on the right hand side under the hood. Make sure the transmission fluid is correct AND clean, and have the fluid and filter changed at a regular interval. ALWAYS pump nothing but premium/super unleaded gas, any gas under a 91 octane rating will wreck the engine, give you less HP and make the motor run like crap. When the brakes feel weak take it in for new brakes, a good shop will be able to throw on new pads and rotors if you need them . Do these simple things and your car will last for the ages.
