Can I put H rated tires on my 2005 Volvo V50 if it came from manufacturer with V?
Answer: It is a usually accepted practice in the US to deviate from the automakers recommendation and in many cases the practical application
does not disallow the deviation. The best approach is to replace tires
with OE or better. Any change does have an affect and not always the
“desired” one at that. TUV and other bodies in other lands do not
tolerate consumer choice.
