White 1993 Dodge Stealth |
I have a 1993 Dodge Stealth, and I
need to recharge the freon. I wasn’t exactly sure which type of freon
it uses because I had it done by somebody else last time. Another thing is, I know that new Dodge cars have a different type of air conditioning unit, is it possible that the older version in my 1993 Dodge
Stealth can be transfered over by just replacing the unit? How much
would that cost? Thank you so much for any tips/advice. I definitely
need it in this hot weather.
Answer: Have a shop do it. If the AC uses R-12, any
good shop can convert it to the new 134-A for less than a hundred bucks.
In 1993, some cars still used R12 which is more than a 100 bucks a
pound if you can find it. 134-A is 10 bucks a pound.
