Okay this is what I’ve got, my 2002 KIA Rio shudders when moving away at junctions and also seems to lose power sometimes. The check engine light is on. Mechanic told me it could be throttle pedal position switch but I phoned KIA supplier and this model doesn’t have one. Nowhere open til Tuesday, what could it be?

Does the Kia Sedona start giving you transmission problems around 100,000 miles or does it run further? I’ve been told that the toyota, honda, etc. etc. will run well without giving your any transmission problems up until 300,000 miles. But have experienced the american made cars tend to start having transmission problems around 100,000 miles. Does anyone know if the Kia brand runs well like the toyota???

There are times in which the car will start on the first try, or the second or third try. Then there are times in which the car will not start for 30 mins. The car turns over no problem, but sometimes it just will not spark and ignite. Does anyone know what I could do? I have taken it to 2 different mechanics, and no one knows what the problem is.

The Car has 60k miles. I took it to a Firestone, and they charged me $1,000 for a new fuel pump, tank, and fuel fillter. The problem has not improved. They said that the pressure in the tank was 10psi, and that was the reason the replaced the fuel pump, and the tank had to be replaced b/c it was rusted to the pump.
