"1999 Kia Sportage Starting Problems"

Red 1999 Kia Sportage Left View

There are times in which the car will start on the first try, or the second or third try. Then there are times in which the car will not start for 30 mins. The car turns over no problem, but sometimes it just will not spark and ignite. Does anyone know what I could do? I have taken it to 2 different mechanics, and no one knows what the problem is.
Additional Details: There are times in which the car will start on the first try, or the second or third try. Then there are times in which the car will not start for 30 mins. The Car has 60k miles. I took it to a Firestone, and they charged me $1,000 for a new fuel pump, tank, and fuel fillter. The problem has not improved. They said that the pressure in the tank was 10psi, and that was the reason the replaced the fuel pump, and the tank had to be replaced b/c it was rusted to the pump.

Answer: Could be numerous of things. How many miles on the car. It could be issues with the battery, did they test the voltage? It could need a tune up..possible the fuel filter needs to be changed. Worst case scenario is issues with the starter or ignition.
