| 1992 Volvo 940 Turbo Wagon |
I recently bought an 1992 Volvo 940 Turbo 940 wagon. It needs a lot
of work, but I am prepared to spend some money and lots of time on this
car. After a few days I’ve discovered some problems- The oil pressure
light flickers occasionally at low speed idle. I believe the oil pump
is suspect, and plan to change this unless someone has had this problem
and had a different remedy. My second problem is that the check engine
light is on. Occasionally the light goes out when I pull on the e-brake
handle, then comes back on when releasing it (I think there maybe a
glitch in the dash / electrical causing that). Is there a way to read
the codes without a diagnostic scan tool? Third, after unlocking the
driver’s door and opening it, the power lock system makes a lock unlock
lock unlock type sound- I think it’s coming from the rear hatch? Could
this be a door wiring harness problem? Fourth, the rear hatch wiper occasionally doesn’t ‘park’ flat like it should. Any suggestions?
