I’ve just got my Peugeot 206 serviced today, as well as having a new catalytic converter put on. But when the engine is running there is smoke coming out from where the new catalytic converter joins the exhaust pipe and a burning smell. Any ideas about it?

Can anyone help me with my Peugeot 206 brakes recently purchased. First start of my brakes, a grinding noise was then was just as appeared to have put my right foot was on the floor, my hand brake both.
He was back in the garage where I bought it and said it taken once established, he had the parking brake cable to adjust the rear brakes and put new shoes on it.
A week later, my brakes still have a crunch and not feel the car stop fast enough. Is it my brake pads and discs?
I know nothing about cars than I am a girl and is my first car, and I do not know if I get meat out of me when I go into the garage! I feel like a pain when I to the car again!

My 2004 Peugeot 307 CD player style is jams when I try to eject the CD’s. I took my 2004 Peugeot 307 car to audio tone and the mechanic said that I need a new player. The problem is that when I need a new player in the LCD screen on the board I can get work. I can give you a special cable to get that allows you to the steering shaft link you to take a advantage of getting a secondary market screen can know as well.
Can someone give me a good account of the update must be compatible with the screen and the trunk. or if anyone had the same problem, how to fix it.
I know it finishing with 5-CD changer, you know where I substitute the storage compartment that is in the 307 without change, how to get this little chamber ID. I can not find on E-Bay, only one disc CD changer.

When I’m pressing the button in the wind window down, the window is moved a little and then stops, so I have to press the button again. Then sometimes it’s start back up again (if the button in the lower position) or down a bit and then stops again, or it’s normally move. Does anyone know this problem?

I have a problems on my 2006 Peugeot XT 307. My car first came with Bridgestone tires, and no problems there. After drove about 50,000 Kilometers I’ve noticed that there is steering wheels vibration problems when I exceeding 110 Km/h. Then I proceed to change the tires with Continental Contact II tires, but the vibration problems still there. Finally I came to Peugeot dealer to check it out, they said that there’s nothing wrong with my 2006 Peugeot XT 307. I change the tires with Dunlop X1, but this steering wheels vibration still exits. Does anyone know solutions for it?

I have a Peugeot 206, 16v 1.6 GLX and I have been having gearbox problems, sometimes I am unable to put it in reverse without putting it in another gear first. I would like to hear from you experts out there, it is possible to replace my transmission with a transmission of a Peugeot 206 GTI with no complications? To solve this problem and are closely linked, shifting in my GLX. Do I have to replace all other mechanical parts, to allow this change? Please share, thanks.

The original lighter plug works slightly, I think that it works but with only a small amounts of power. I have a Peugeot 307 2005 and I don’t have a good GPS signal on my Becker Traffic Assist. I have noticed that the windscreen has a blue-purple color when looking from sides, or when I look through polarized glasses. I don’t know if the windscreen is heliomat, ionized or other things, due to the fact that I have bought this car as a second hand car.
I have tried the same GPS system on other cars and it gets the signal very fast(2-3minutes), on the Peugeot minimum 20 minutes and also here drops signal. Can the windscreen effect the signal? Or other devices on the car? I want to mention that the car has light and rain sensors 10x.

I have a Peugeot 405 TD and there is black oil in the radiator. What is wrong? It has also been leaking oil down the back of the engine for some time. There is no sign of water in the oil, dip stick is just oil. When I last parked up the radiator was leaking at the cap like the pressure was to high.

I pour water in drive about 3 miles its all gone i think its a leak in the radiator or hose going to it if its the hose must be a big hole! Can anyone tell me if radiators and air conditioning condensers are prone to leaking? My Peugeot 206 has only done 19000 miles and both mine are leaking. The Peugeot dealer who sold it to me isn’t interested as it’s out of warranty. I’m thinking of going to trading standards.

What temperature does the radiator fan turn on at Peugeot 206 HDI? I’m not sure if the fan is working. So today I left the car running in the sun until the temp gauge read 100 degrees but the fan didn’t come on. What temp should the fan come on? The oil was reading 90 degrees if that helps.

Hi, well my Peugeot 206 1.9D radiator leaks all over the road the over day. I used some radiator seal which seems to have sorted it but I’m gonna order a new one to be safe. Thing is I can’t afford to get the work done so I’m thinking of doing it my self. I’m guessing it’s a bit like a radiator in your house where you just drain the system, flush it out, put the new one in, fill it up and bleed the air out. Any advice on this job would be very handy.

I have an 2000 Peugeot 206 and it kept losing radiator water for 2 months. The radiator is clean, changed thermostat, mechanic checked head-gasket by doing some kind of air pressure, there are no leaks at all (did a pressure test), i also changed the coolant reservoir cap. The symptoms are as follow: I drive my car for about 10 minutes, it starts heating beyond 90 degree, water pop out of the container cap (I opened the bonnet and saw water all over the motor), I continue driving the car but it doesn’t overheat (between 90-100 degree), i doubted some failure in water pump or some pressure in the cooling system, the mechanic that I went to for this problem says it may be the radiator valve, I don’t believe it is the issue anyway. Could any one suggest any problems may cause this? I started being obsessed with this and I can’t let it go.

The fan isn’t coming on on my Peugeot 206, where is the fan switch, and the relays that it uses? The radiator doesn’t have a fan temp switch on, so does the car even have one? If so where is it as I can’t find it! There are a couple of sensors where the water hose goes into the block so does it just use these. Also are the fan relays in the fuse box under the bonnet?
