"Steering Wheels Vibration Problems on 2006 Peugeot XT 307"

Silver 2006 Peugeot XT 307

I have a problems on my 2006 Peugeot XT 307. My car first came with Bridgestone tires, and no problems there. After drove about 50,000 Kilometers I’ve noticed that there is steering wheels vibration problems when I exceeding 110 Km/h. Then I proceed to change the tires with Continental Contact II tires, but the vibration problems still there. Finally I came to Peugeot dealer to check it out, they said that there’s nothing wrong with my 2006 Peugeot XT 307. I change the tires with Dunlop X1, but this steering wheels vibration still exits. Does anyone know solutions for it?

Answer: The most common causes of steering wheel vibration is: Mud or dirt caked around the inside of the wheel, wheels out of balance, and loose steering components. If you can lift the front end of your car up, grap ahold o one of the wheels, see if when you turn it that you feel it wobble a bit. Like there’s a lose something in there. Those are the simple solutions. Some of the time it’s more serious. I know that Peugeot’s have also had transmission troubles in the past. I don’t know about their newer models, but there could be a problem in that gear that causes you to feel a vibration. If it’s not at a certain RPM, but at a certain speed, then most likely it’s that gear in the transmission.
