Can anyone tell me if radiators and air conditioning condensers are prone to leaking? My Peugeot 206 has only done 19000 miles and both mine are leaking. The Peugeot dealer who sold it to me isn’t interested as it’s out of warranty. I’m thinking of going to trading standards.
Answer: My Peugeot 206 started leaking at the bottom
first – just damp and rusty down there. Stayed like that for around 2
months – during which time I ordered a replacement. Good job too as it
split the bottom off it on the way into town. I bought 5L of water and
half a dozen eggs. Added eggwhites only of 2 eggs, and filled up with water. Managed to get home like that as the eggwhite sealed the entire split.
If yours leaks – order a new rad for it – really easy to change, and get some proper hose clamps too as they can snap as well. Refill with Glycol antifreeze mix or you will get coolant pump problems.
