2000 Kia Sephia |
I have a problems when I try to starting my 2000 KIA Sephia, it just doesn’t want to turn over easily. I’ve tried to change with different battery, but it didn’t help.I
think it might be the coil packs, but I’m not sure how to test it. Can
someone give a sollution about this Kia Sephia starting problems?
Answer: Hope this is timely: sometimes it starts and sometimes it doesn’t?
I had this a year ago and after fuel pump, battery and electric (fuse replacement was the only thing suggested by the dealership after approx. $75 computer diagnostic test
and it didn’t help) the problem was still ongoing and it was obvious it
wasn’t the starter because there was no screetching noise when it was
trying to start.
So, there were 3 things to do:
1) use regular or one of the more expensive fuel line cleaners on a
full tank of gasoline as one droplet of water in a fuel line can cause
this.
2) switch to higher octane. I didn’t believe it myself but 3
different people told me about this and explained that even though you
think you’re spending more on gas, you’re not because the mileage out of a gallon will go up. This really solved this problem for good but
3) it will not go away overnight. It took a while, like a couple of weeks from what I remember.
