I need to change my 1998 Volkswagen Beetle fuel filter but where the lines connect to the filter? There is a weird clamp which I can’t get off, not sure what to do?
Answer: Sounds like the kind of connection that’s
fitted by crushing each side of the clamp with a special pair of pliers
so that it grips the pipe. You might be able to bend the lugs and re-use
it but that’s not a good idea. You’ll need a new clip and the pliers.
Or take it to a garage.
