Two days ago my 1989 Toyota Celica was making a loud noise, it seems coming out from the wheel bearing. Does anyone know an easy way to change the drivers side wheel bearing?
Answer: I’m affraid there is no easy way to change your drivers side wheel bearing. The hub is pressed into the bearing,
which is pressed into the spindle housing. Unless you have the tools to
properly remove them without removing the whole housing from the car,
dont try it. These tools range from $350 to $600. If you want to break
loose your lower ball joint, your tie rod end, and unbolt the housing
from the strut (possibly screwing up your alignment) just to take it to a
press where you probably won’t be able to set it up anyway, have at it.
My advise is save time and money and take it to your local shop.
