"How To Check and Recharge The Power Steering Fulid in 1992 Mercedes-Benz 400E"

1992 Mercedes-Benz 400e Engine

I own a 1992 Mercedes-Benz 400E series, and recently the power steering has been drone. My friend told me that it was because of the power steering fluid. The problems is I don’t know where I supposed to be check the power steering fluid, so I can recharge it. And also is there a specific type of power steering fluid the car needs? I already bought a 32oz container of power steering fluid at the store to refill it.

Answer: The power steering reservoir is at the front of the engine and it has a round, metal cap with a wingnut (assuming it still has the factory nut on it). The P/S system requires a specific Mercedes-Benz fluid. Do not use transmission fluid or any other generic P/S fluids that you can buy at most automotive stores.
