"How To Fix Sunroof Problems on 1997 Honda Civic"

1997 Honda Civic Sunroof

Recently the sunroof on my 1997 Honda Civic was not working. I think that it could be something wrong with the assembly. does anyone know how can I fix it?
Answer: First of all, if the door locks and the windows work then the fuses are good. There are two relays for the sunroof behind the left kick panel (the panel to the left of your left foot when you are sitting in the driver’s seat). One of the relays is used to open the roof, the other to close the roof. If you take the kickpanel off they will be the two square black boxes near where the door opening is. If the problem is that the roof won’t open then I would suggest you take the connectors off and switch the connectors on the relays. If the open relay is bad then switching relays should open the roof. If it doesn’t open after switching the relays then the problem is either with the moonroof switch or the motor. At that point you would have to take the car to a mechanic and have it diagnosed.
