Recently I own an 2002 Lexus RX300 and I need to know how to update the satellite navigation device. Can I use the voice recognition?
Answer: As I know, the 2002 Lexus RX300 models have voice recognition software that enable to you update the software by your voice. Turn the car into the ON position, wait 3 seconds, and speak directly into your dash “Update Navigation System”. If you said it in the way your vehicle will accept it, then it’ll respond “Updating Navigation System”. It uses cellular data to update the software via the “under-the-hood” antenna. If it doesn’t work, you’ll need to stand outside your car, and speak directly into the front of the hood (the sensor is actually halfway between the hood and the firewall).
