| 2004 Honda Accord Navigation System |
I’ve a Honda Accord from 2004 with the HONDA NAVIGATION SYSTEM
version 2.05 (APN2-34102) and now I’m trying to update to the newer
version 3.02 (APN2-45103) but when I introduce the new DVD I have a DVD
reading error. Anyone know what is the problem? How can I do to upgrade the navigation system? Thanks in advance for your help.
Answer: Unfortunately
the disc you have will never work! The first part of the version number
refers to which navi system you have fitted, the earlier non voice
activated systems disc versions all start with 2 but the later voice
activated systems disc start with a 3 and the two systems are completely
incompatible. The other way of telling is the color
of the disc with the non voice activated discs being black/gold colour
but the later voice activated discs being all white. The correct version
you need for your Accord is 2.07 and the Honda part number is 08A42 1D6 007. Hope this helps.
