What tires should I use on my 2006 Peugeot 206 GTi? Peugeot recommends Goodyear Eagle, are they any good?
Answer: Goodyear Eagles are a tire made with slightly
softer rubber. This will grab the road better and corner better. But,
they also wear down a lot sooner. If you want performance on your fuel
injected 2 door buy them. Or don’t take Peugeot’s word as gospel, just get some softer rubber performance tires. I’m guessing Peugeot’s recommendation is based on Financial partnerships. They are biased. You’ll soon find out in about 3 years when you need Peugeot parts, how expensive they are and not even made by Peugeot. The real profit on a low-priced car comes when a guy needs servicing and parts and GOODYEAR tyres.
