I have an 1995 Volvo 850 2.4 L. Engine cooling fans will not come on. The fans will come on with the engine temp sensor unplugged but I believe this is because the computer is over riding the circuit. I suspect the temp sensor but not sure. I have voltage going to the sensor and I have a ground.
Answer: A short test connect the 2 rheostat (electronic devices) wires with engine on, the fan should turn if it does the rheostat is faulty.
