I have an 1991 Mazda Protege
and I want to know how can I get into the ecu and tune it? like make
injectors pump more fuel into the cylinders and for it to suck more air
in to just try and improve power a little bit.
Answer: The computer
(ECU) is the LAST thing you want to ‘tune’. At best, you can replace
the rom with a hotter chip, programmed by someone who spent years
specializing a particular brand and engine size. Stick to add-ons like
headers, cat back systems, turbos, nitrous, etc.
