I have problems with my 2006 Kia Rio ignition switch.
I put key in the ignition and it won’t turn. The steering wheel is not
locked. I have tried pulling the steering wheel firmly to the left and
the right and the key still won’t turn.
Answer: Does your ignition key look worn? If you
have a spare key try that one to see if it will work. If your key is
worn and you have no spare a new key should be cut using the original
factory key codes. If the ignition will not turn with a good key then
most likely the ignition lock cylinder will require replacement.
