Black 2001 BMW 320d Front View |
I have an 2001 BMW 320d with turbo
problem. Basically German imported y reg 320 [turbo] diesel. The problem
is the turbo does not work, it doesn’t drive like a turbo basically, no
whistle, no go, struggles on hills etc. There is a slight loss of power once it reaches 2000 revs that lasts for maybe a second or two. Anyone any ideas as to the problem, or is it too broad a question? Cheers!
Answer: From the website below, also check for other turbo issues :
“Flat spots of and lack of power or M47 and M57 diesels due to a known problem with the wire mesh air mass sensor. When replaced, must reprogrammed ECU to match new meter. Lack of power also caused by cracked inlet manifolds. Misfires of M47/M57 caused by failed injectors. ”
