How can I improve my Kia Pro Ceed 1.6 Diesel
EX mpg? It’s hardly doing 40 mpg with careful low rev driving!? The car
is only 6 mths old, with 4k miles, so I’m hoping the mpg will improve
with age, am I naive? It’s a fab car, just thirsty, despite the promo of
60 mpg!
Answer: You will never get what the ads say. I have been trying to find a road test and can’t, but I would expect better than 40mpg. Try reving a bit more, you may be loading the engine. The consumption will improve with age, just realized-you’ve only done 4 thousand in 6 months? That’s the problem, get out there and DRIVE it, it’s not run in yet.
