How do I replace a steering gear box on GMC truck, 2004? Can it be done without lifting the truck?
Answer: You’ll have to remove the left front tire to
get to the bolts on the box. The bolts are through some holes in the
fram. Should be 3 of them. Then there is 2 bolts on the steering shaft to come out. Slide the top half up the shaft and remove your power lines and it slides out.
