My Nissan Altima came with a alpine stereo and I want to know where
and what kind of GPS chip I need to get. I’m not sure the model or
number of the stereo either where would I find that out at and where
would I find a chip for my stereo in my Nissan Altima?
Answer: First thing, there is no chip. GPS is a
total different receiver. That would be hidden away somewhere under the
dash. Those are either updated by a DVD, or an SD card. Now just because
it is an Alpine does not mean that it can automatically adapt to GPS.
The model number will be on the back of the stereo though.
