"2003 Mercedes CLK430 Convertible: Oil Leaks Problems"

2003 Mercedes CLK430 Convertible

I have a small oil leak in the front of my 2003 Mercedes CLK430 Convertible engine compartment that I can’t find. Does anyone have any ideas what it could be?

Answer: yeah, its either coming from the front of the oil pan seal, the front cover seal, or the oil level sensor, these are very common leaks on the 112 /113 series motors. the factory does not use gaskets on these seams, just an rtv sealant. Mercedes has a black gasket sealant in a small tube that works wonders on leaks.. the fix is to remove the part that is leaking, clean the residual sealant off of it, reseal and reassemble the parts. an oil pan reseal takes about 1-2 hours, a front cover reseal takes longer because the pulleys and what not must be removed from the engine before r and r..
