"Cadillac Fleetwood Acceleration Problems"

1985 Cadillac Fleetwood V8

I have a 1985 Cadillac Fleetwood V8 with a 4.1 fuel injection, digital. Whenever I try to climb a slope, the smaller gas makes the car turn off pop-up and die, and from time to time, but fires right back on. Apart from the hills, the great road trips. My friend followed me home and told me to have to a single output, but I think I have two, because that came from both sides of the exhaust. This makes me question the catalyst. Is this a possible diagnosis?

Answer: Yes the catalytic converter is likely. I had a similar issue which turned out to be as simple as a faulty fuel pump which in turn affected other various parts. This was on my 1953 Willys Overland.
