| 1992 Cadillac Fleetwood Intrument Cluster |
I have a 1992 Cadillac
Fleetwood base with a 4.9 engine. Has a new battery and alternator.
Just got the oil changed. I reset the oil change light but the red oil
light stays on when my car is completely OFF. Its not on while driving
though. I’ve done everything in my power to fix it but can not. I pulled
the red terminal so it doesn’t kill the 3 day old battery. How much
does it cost to fix such a small problem that its NEVER had before?

Answer:Sounds like a
problem in the cluster. I would take the cluster out and pull the bulb,
maybe even find a junk one.. the only problem there is if you were to be
low on pressure and driving around you wouldn’t know and could blow it
up. Unless it has a gauge also. FYI, the function of the instrument cluster is to keep the driver informed with the most current information as they drive.
