| 2009 White Volkswagen Routan |
Which chassis did Volkswagen base the
Routan minivan on? Is it built on a Passat chassis or is it an all new
vehicle? Many thanks for the answer.
Answer: Actually, believe it or not, the Routan is
based on Chrysler’s Town and Country minivan. It’s far from an exact
copy; the interior of the Routan is a lot nicer but a lot of the body
panels are the same as in the Chrysler. I’m not exactly sure why
Volkswagen would do this, or even build a minivan to begin with! Strange
things happening in the automobile world.
