| 1984 Volkswagen Scirocco Exhaust Pipes |
Does anybody know what’s the size of a stock 1984 Volkswagen Scirocco’s exhaust pipes? I’m looking in on an aftermarket exhaust and can’t find any specs online, and I don’t have the equipment to get under the car to see.
Answer: 1984 VW Scirocco is a 1.7L and should have a 1.75 inch pipe from the Catalytic converter
back. We always put a 2.0 on when building a custom system, some want a
2.25 or even a 2.5. I am a fan of the 2.25 inch system and would
recommend Techtonics in Oregon (they are on the web too at
www.techtonicstuning.com). They have highly aluminum steel and Stainless
Steel if you want to spend more and never replace it again.
