| 2002 Subaru Forester Brake Pads |
I have problems with my 2002 Subaru Forester brake pads, and my mechanic told me that I need $301 to replace it. That seemed too high for me, is there any ideas on how much cost to replace brake pads on a 2002 Subaru Forester?
Answer: If that quote includes new rotors it is about
right, but it probably is only to turn the rotors ($15 each) and replace
the pads ($50+ for a set up to $100 for ceramic). Most places are
charging that now, giving them as much for labor as for parts and machine shop fees. And it is one of the easiest things to do on today’s cars, oh well. That is what keeps us independent shops busy.
