Red 2005 Subaru Outback 3.0 R Sedan Left Front View |
I just bought a used 2005 Subaru Outback 3.0 R Sedan with 24,000 miles on it. The Bridgestone tires it came with have good tread but it rained heavily yesterday and I had a difficult time maintaining control of the car. It kept hydroplaning even at 35mph! Original tire size is 225/55-17. I need tires that can handle heavy rain. Any suggestions?
Answer: I use Yokohama
Geolander in mine , the same car, and have no problem in rain, but in
snow doesn’t perform very well. Good experience with continental too,
avoid Toyo, this Japanese tires doesn’t sticked a bit in water. Don’t be
tempted by high performance tires,
because this car is fun to drive in road, but this will affect your
hydroplaning issue badly, in your local tire shop the could help you,
good luck an congratulation, you will love this car.
