I just purchased a new 2011 Ford Fusion
Sport about 2 months ago and suddenly, when I went to start it
yesterday, the battery was dead (I believe) when I tried to start it, it
didn’t even try to turn over and nothing work.
The only lights or power options that did were the hazard lights which
came on when I tried to start it and they would go off. The only thing I
could think that might cause this would be that my phone charger was
plugged in, but nothing attached to it. I jumped it and let it run for
about a half hour and had started every time since then Any ideas of
what’s going on?
Answer: I believe even though your phone charger had no telephone connected, it was still drawing power while connected to the 12 volt outlet.
