Somehow I need to replace the air conditioning compressor
on my 1995 GMC Sonoma 4.3l V6? Can someone give me some information how
to do this job or are there any special procedures that have to take
place? The air conditioning system is completely drained of 134a refrig already so no pressure in the lines.
Answer: That is a job for a professional, there could
still be some pressure on the system. Besides you are going to need them
to add the correct amount of freon anyway. Remove the accessory drive
belt, remove manifold hose assembly, disconnect electrical supply, remove bolts that secure compressor to engine bracket and walla 10mm, 13mm, screwdriver.
