What is the best winter tire for a 2003 Mazda Protege? Is it better to purchase from the dealership? I live in Toronto, Ontario, and drive on local roads (not highway). Thanks a lot.

Answer: There is only one winter/snow tire that I think is any good. Firestone makes a snow tire called Blizzack. Ask for them at your local tire store. I have put them on my Mazda GLC, 323, Protege and on my Acura. Have not had one time that I couldn’t drive on any road.
